Your Values, My Values

Book

This book is not about what the author refers to as 'Values with a capital V', that is, over-arching values such as normalisation, self-determination and inclusion; rather, the book is designed to act as a guide for providing culturally appropriate services and to designing successful, respectful programs and supports for people with developmental disabilities that build on the strengths of each person's personal cultural values. (Note: 'Cultural values' do not refer solely to ethnic background; class identity, for example, will affect one's values.) Keyword: Cross Cultural
