Kids Belong Together

Video

This video is a celebration of friendship and joy, showing the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular primary and junior high schools, with each school becoming a community where every child feels he or she belongs. It is a dramatic illustration of the MAPS process in action with parents, teachers and friends becoming involved in the process. It shows the power of having a circle of friends involved in problem solving, giving support and, most of all, sharing friendship. The video emphasises the need for whole school support for inclusion - inclusion should be a team effort. (See also Video Nos. 110, 106). Running time: 24 mins.
