Into Rec is a recreation program based in Townsville which was set up to assist people with a disability to gain access to and become involved in their community as set out in the mission, goals and objectives which form part of the kit. The kit includes stories (from different viewpoints) of individuals who have been assisted to participate in community activities including football, church, karate and theatre workshops. Also included is the story of Jacqui, which describes the process used to discover where her interests lay, together with strategies for linking people with a disability to the activity of their choice.
