Inclusion is not just "Helping the Handicapped"

Written Material

The experiences of a number of students who have no disability and their friendships with peers who have a disability are outlined in this brief article. It is interesting to read what the students have to say about themselves and their own self-worth - and about what their friends with a disability have given them. As the authors argue, a lot of research has focused on the benefits of inclusion for students with disabilities: It is time as much attention was focused on the benefits to students who have no disability.
