You are invited to explore aspects of inclusive schooling through the experiences of Jonathon and Karime, who are enrolled in regular classes of schools in different regional areas of NSW, Australia. Jonathon, who has Autism, is in Year 4. Karime who has cerebral palsy and a hearing impairment, has just started school. ,Gain valuable insights into parental strategies which aided Karime's transition from early childhood setting to school and explore a book his mum created about him. Parents can even start the ball rolling on their own child's book. ,Use Jonathon's experiences to spark your imagination about curriculum possibilities. You will see many examples of the way classroom activities and lessons have been adapted and modified to allow for his participation and to help him learn.
