The Self Advocacy example looks at the case of a person whose electricity is about to be cut off, how to define the problem, where to go for advice, how to develop a plan of action and what action to take. The second hypothetical case concerns a person with intellectual disability whose parents are considering arranging for her sterilisation without her consent: What Group Advocacy should People First and its members undertake in supporting her ?
