We need to be more creative with our resources

Written Material

The authors of this paper both work at the Victorian Ethnic Affairs Commission and were involved in a study investigating the needs of people from non English speaking backgrounds (NESB) with intellectual disabilities in relation to services and programs. They present their finding in this paper which basically indicate that people from NESB under-utilise services for people with intellectual disabilities due to inadequacy of those services to cater to cultural differences. The authors end with suggestions for attempting to rectify this situation. Keyword: Cross Cultural
