This research study looks at the sexual abuse of children with intellectual disability both within institutional settings and in the community. Chapters cover the prevalence of and identification of child sexual abuse; developmental disabilities as a risk factor; effects of sexual abuse; treatment and prevention of sexual abuse; sex offenders with intellectual impairments; and legal issues.
