The right to die

Written Material

This paper analyses and comments on the Victorian Medical Treatment Act of 1987 which "strengthens each person's common law rights to refuse medical treatment". The paper argues that the Act support euthanasia and also raises the point that because people with mental illnesses or disabilities may not be responsive to those around does not mean that they are not alive and it does not give others the right to extinguish their lives.
