The Inclusion Debate: What the Research Says

This article examines three misconceptions that are evident in the debate on the education of students with disabilities. In doing so the author presents research findings that have documented the beneficial effect of education in regular classes, even for students with severe disabilities. She suggests it is time for a constructive discussion of the ways in which human and material resources can be used for supporting teachers and students in local schools.
