This short article argues that too frequently sexuality is construed as being inexorably tied to child-bearing and that performing sterilisation procedures will decrease sexual vulnerability or activity. It recommends that parents and professionals form a partnership and work together to sustain a commitment to ensuring the right to human dignity and decision-making for young women with disability.
