Recreation: Including People with High Support Needs

Written Material

Hugill reminds us that we should first think about a person's interests when thinking of recreational activities, rather than thinking of people's needs according to their 'label'. Addressing an individual's needs will mean varying degrees of supports and may mean partial participation. Hugill gives an example of partial participation which shows how a person's interests can be met in different ways. Key: Social Activities
