This article describes strategies used by agency personnel to facilitate the successful settling in of people with disabilities in the workplace. The authors give four examples of people with disabilities and their different work scenarios. Sensitive and imaginative strategies are used by agency personnel to forestall problems with the people with disabilities settling into the workplace. Many of these strategies revolve around co-worker acceptance and interpersonal relations and these are given as much attention as strategies to allow the people with disabilities to carry out their work.
