This study looks at the friendships between four pairs of children, where one of each pair has no disability and the other has a disability. While there are similarities across the friendships, each relationship is unique and fulfils an individual need in each of the students involved. All the friendships developed in inclusive, supportive classrooms and with the support of the students' parents. Keywords: Friendships, Inclusion, School age
