Families in Australia: A Socio-Demographic Perspective

Book

While this book doesn't mention families in relation to disability, it provides a good overview of what 'family' means. The book addresses different areas that impact on family life, e.g. culture, relationships, having children and ageing. The author emphasises that there is no single universal definition of the family and that changes in individual family groupings take place over time. He concludes that despite changes in society, the family relationship will always have a key place. Keyword: Families
