Changing Lives, Changing Communities

Book

This user-friendly booklet aims to explain the basics of social role valorisation (SRV) theory. Social role valorisation is aimed at helping people keep or find a valued social role. The booklet highlights the importance of understanding the problems facing devalued people in our society. It shows how SRV has brought about a change in the way that people think about devalued people. Understanding the causes of devaluation also puts us in a better position to develop strategies to meet the depth/strength of the problems people face. Keywords: Social Role Valorisation
