Carer's Handbook

Book

This small handbook has been put together so that carers of people with disabilities can get information about services and other forms of assistance available to them. The kinds of help covered include services provided through Commonwealth, State and Local governments, through charitable, community and other non government groups, and the range of available pensions and allowances (as at 1992). It refers to both direct forms of assistance (respite, training and information, and financial), and indirect forms of assistance (services provided for the person being cared for).
