Bio-gene Technology and the Disabled: The Unheard Voice

Written Material

With bio/gene technology research developing at breathtaking speed, we need to ask whether this knowledge will be used for the good of human kind. Wolbring argues for a society which supports human diversity. He makes it clear people with disability must be given the opportunity to be heard in this debate, while expressing concern that pre-birth eugenics decisions will affect (and in fact are already affecting) people living with a devalued characteristic, resulting in infanticide, DNR (Do Not Rususcitate) and euthanasia.
