"Building Relationships..." is a guide to help close allies work together to create opportunities for the future. The ability to offer people guidance without directing the planning requires sensitivity, a fundamental belief in the power of relationships, and a belief in the natural creativity of co-workers, friends, and family members. Although the planning activities in this guide relate primarily to employment, the planning proposed occurs through a formula that considers the person's whole life. "Getting there from here..." is a good resource for planning the transition from High School to employment. In promoting the use of natural supports, Project School to Work collaborated with seven school districts to assist high school students with disability on finding and keeping jobs in their communities. This guide shares their stories and what was learned along the way.
