Leadership Skills

We help you build your leadership skills
Building leadership skills is a fundamental part of Family Advocacy's role with families of people with developmental disability in New South Wales.

Some families decide to build their skills by becoming involved in the work of Family Advocacy.  Opportunities include:

  • developing skills in public speaking;
  • developing and presenting material at workshops;
  • attending seminars and conferences about public policy;
  • participating in events which strengthen and build knowledge about the political and social environment for people with disability;
  • going on deputations to community leaders and politicians.
