Community Pathways - A Powerful Means to an Inclusive Life

8 September 2016
09:00 am - 03:30 pm
Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club - 117 Ryedale Rd, West Ryde NSW
There is much discussion as the NDIS emerges across Australia concerning inclusion of people with disability. What authentic inclusion is has already been seriously misunderstood to the detriment of people with disability. This workshop will clearly define what it means to be included and how to be mindful of the trappings of less effective practices.

Presented by internationally acclaimed speakers Bruce Uditsky and Anne Hughson

Participants will learn about other families efforts and discuss practical strategies that can be applied by parents and their allies to enable a more meaningful future through the transition to and over the course of adulthood.  Stories of inclusion across peoples life-span through committed engagement in normative pathways, community capacity and partnerships will be shared.

This will be a great opportunity for others in your family and social networks as well as support staff to work on strategies towards enabling a more promising future.
